Action 805 is a creative, fun and supportive environment for teens ages 11-19*. This social/academic based program is held daily for drop-in, weekly or monthly with a focus on positive teen interactions and engagement where all teens are welcomed. Study groups take place in our Think Lab classroom, with access to high speed internet, tutors, digital media lab, global connections and more. Students should come prepared with distance learning materials (tablet, laptop, headphones, etc.). We provide the setting for community learning, guest speakers, round table discussions, college/career planning and the academic support needed during the current school/ pandemic events. Spaces are limited.

Study groups provide students with practice in skills like time management and keeping track of assignments, things that need to be mastered before college. '

Study groups expose students to new perspectives. Discussion is something that can be more engaging and relevant with a group of peers. We strive to help our students develop confidence in their individual identity, leadership skills and creative thinking.

Although our goal is self-motivation, there is something to be said for peer motivation. Study groups provide an atmosphere in which teens can be spurred on to their best work in a positive and encouraging environment.
